Residential Home Improvement Grant

The City of Shawneetown is once again hosting a Residential Home Improvement Grant for 2025-2026. All residential homes that are owner-occupied within the city limits are eligible for consideration. This is a reimbursement grant only. Owners must pay for the approved work upfront (apply prior to work being started unless emergency doesn't warrant) and will be reimbursed up to $2,500.00 if the TIF Committee and City Council award your grant. Grants will only reimburse up to 50% of a $5,000 project. To apply, download the application on the website under "Applications and Documents" or pick one up from the Collector's Office at City Hall.
